Turkey Has 140,000 Troops in Border With Iraq
Inside sources have been talking about this for weeks. Turkey has been crossing the border with Iraq and fighting with the Kurds in northern Iraq yet the mainstream news has refused to cover it.
Today Yahoo News finally reports that, ”Turkey has massed 140,000 soldiers on its border with northern Iraq.”
The Kurds are a minority located in northern Iraq. If they are only concerned with the Kurds, WHY THEN DOES TURKEY NEED 140,000 troops? Turkey has amassed an army “with nearly as many soldiers along its border with Iraq as the 155,000 troops which the US has in the country.”
US officials have, as usual, declined to confirm the figure but acknowledged longstanding tensions between Iraq and Turkey.
US national security council spokesman Gordon Johndroe is quoted as saying, “The United States wants the problem to be dealt with so that the Turks to not have to deal with PKK terrorism. And so Turkey, Iraq and the United States are all working together to rout out terrorists.”
America has a fighting force of 155,000 Americans in Iraq with nearly double that in American contractors in the country. These American citizens are within striking distance of Iranian missiles and now we find that Turkey has a fighting force of the same size poised to enter Iraq.
This clearly does not bode well for America.
Meanwhile President George Bush has come out today to publically squash rumors that the White House was preparing to announce troop withdrawals in Iraq do to the fact the the Republicans are dropping support of this war like a hot potato.
Please America… WAKE UP and start PRAYING FOR THE MEN AND WOMAN that are SERVING YOU OVERSEAS!
