Pakistani main media outlets have accused the Bush administration of planning to launch a military action against the country. The Pakistani daily Nawa-i-Waqt accused US President George W. Bush of ‘directly targeting’ Pakistan.

“President George Bush’s latest interview is proof that Pakistan is a direct target of the US, which wants to maintain pressure on Pakistan on some pretext or other so that its illegitimate demands are met [and] wants to keep its options open for a direct [military] action in Pakistan,” the daily wrote.

“[The US'] unjustified support of Israel, its occupation of Afghanistan and Iraq, [and its] hostile ambitions against Pakistan, Iran, Syria and other Muslim countries [are the reasons why] Muslim people of the world, especially youth, are inflamed,” it added.

The daily Jasarat wrote in an editorial that the threat of a US attack on Pakistan is imminent, and that the roots of the internal and external dangers currently facing Pakistan lie in its role as the ally of the US in the War on Terror.

Also, the Peshawar-based Urdu-language newspaper Roznama Mashriq accused the US of spreading unjustified anti-Pakistan propaganda.

George W. Bush had earlier told the ABC News that it is possible that a 9/11-like attack on the US is being planned inside Pakistan.

I’m not sure why this isn’t getting more press amongst the Christian community, but just as President Bush claimed a glimpse into Vladimir Putin’s soul, now he equates looking into the eyes of the Pope as seeing “God”. 

This should simply be tacked on to a long list of proofs that this president, who also claims Jesus Christ is not needed to obtain salvation, is NOT a Christian, but is in fact playing his role in setting up a one world religion. 

“U.S. President George Bush said that when he looks into Benedict XVI’s eyes, he sees God. The president made this affirmation Friday when he answered the last question posed him during an interview with Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN) anchor Raymond Arroyo.

Arroyo noted that Bush is planning an all-out welcome for the Pope, who arrives in the United States on Tuesday for a five-day visit. Most notably, Bush will go to the airport to receive the Holy Father, a courtesy he has never extended to any visiting leader.

The president says he plans to do this “because [the Pope] is a really important figure in a lot of ways. One, he speaks for millions. Two, he doesn’t come as a politician; he comes as a man of faith. And, three, that I so subscribe to his notion that [...] there’s right and wrong in life, that moral relativism has a danger of undermining the capacity to have more hopeful and free societies, that I want to honor his convictions, as well.”

The Holy Father, Bush said, “represents and stands for some values that I think are important for the health of the country, and when he comes to America, millions of my fellow citizens will be hanging on his every word. And that’s why it’s important.”

A recent press release from MyFamily.com that announced their license to publish British census records from 1841 to 1901 on the Internet also publicized the fact that Princess Diana, Winston Churchill, and George W. Bush are all distantly related. Their common ancestor was Henry Spencer (1420–1478) of Badby, Northhamptonshire.

George W. Bush and his father, the former president, have long been known to have royal ancestry. Gary Boyd Roberts, a genealogist at the New England Historic Genealogical Society in Boston and one of the foremost authorities on the royal ancestry of American presidents, notes that Bush is descended from British royalty going as far back as 12th century King Henry I, the son of William the Conqueror.

Ancestry.com - Bush Is Related to Churchill and Lady Diana

Following the revelation that Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL), Vice President Dick Cheney and President George W. Bush are distant relations, the New York Post decided to report on some of Bush’s other relatives.Most of Bush’s ancestors came to America in colonial times, and through them he — like tens of thousands of other Americans — is related to a large number of earlier presidents, as well as to both Dick Cheney and John Kerry.

Bush also turns out to be related to Vlad the Impaler — the medieval tyrant who was one of the inspirations for the fictional Count Dracula. Some critics might say that Bush has certain things in common with Vlad, who is still honored by many Romanians for having saved their country from invasion by the Muslim Ottoman Turks. Vlad was a paranoid and bloodthirsty despot, however, who ruled through torture and murder.

According to Crime Library, “During his tenure, he killed by the droves, impaling on a forest of spikes around his castle thousands of subjects who he saw as either traitors, would-be traitors or enemies to the security of Romania and the Roman Catholic Church. Sometimes, he slew merely to show other possible insurgents and criminals just what their fate would be if they became troublesome. A pamphlet published in Nuremburg, Germany, immediately following his death in 1476, tells of his burning beggars after allowing them free food at his court. ‘He felt they were eating the people’s food for nothing, and could not repay it,’ the broadside explains.”

CNN reported at the time of the 2004 election that “Bush has closer ties to Dracula [than John Kerry], going back 32 generations to the former ruler of Transylvania and what is now southern Romania. Kerry has to go back 34 generations in the family tree.”

On a lighter note, Bush is also a relative of such celebrities as Brad Pitt, Hugh Hefner, and Marilyn Monroe, plus, more distantly, Madonna, Celine Dion, and Tom Hanks.

October 17, 2007 — Who says Barack Obama doesn’t have what it takes to be president? Turns out, he’s a distant cousin of both Dick Cheney and George Bush.

The vice president’s wife, Lynne Cheney, announced her discovery yesterday while hawking her new book, “Blue Skies, No Fences,” on MSNBC.

When asked if she would support Hillary Rodham Clinton because she is a woman, Lynne Cheney said, “I have to admit to a certain bias here . . . Dick and Barack Obama are eighth cousins.”

Mrs. Cheney said that it was “an amazing American story that one ancestor . . . could be responsible down the family line for lives that have taken such different and varied paths.”

Then asked if she supported Obama she quickly said, “No.”

Obama’s camp made light of the family ties. “Every family has a black sheep,” said spokeswoman Jen Psaki, with tongue firmly planted in cheek.

The Chicago Sun-Times revealed the genealogical link in early September, claiming that the shared ancestors were Mareen and Susannah Duvall, 17th century immigrants from France.

The newspaper, however, claimed that the senator from Illinois and the vice president were 11th cousins.

The Duvalls are Obama’s great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandparents, and Cheney’s great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandparents, the paper said.

George W. Bush and Obama, meanwhile, are 10th cousins once removed - linked through a 17th century Massachusetts couple, Samuel Hinckley and Sarah Soole, according to the Sun-Times.

DISSING COUSINS: OBAMA, CHENEY, BUSH RELATED - New York Post

A distant relation that connects the families of Prince William and US President George W Bush - as well as Winston Churchill - has been discovered by a firm putting genealogical information online.

The company came across the link between the Royal Family, the Bush dynasty and Britain’s most famous war-time prime minister during research to put Victorian censuses and other family history documents online.

Researchers from the firm traced all three families back to Henry Spencer who lived in Badby, Northamptonshire, during the 15th century.

The first census being put online will be the one collected in 1891. Other censuses dating back to the first in 1841 will slowly be added over the next few months.

Ancient ties

The news about the common Northamptonshire beginnings of Prince William, George Bush and Winston Churchill was released by US genealogy site MyFamily.com.

It is not the first time a link has been made between President Bush and Churchill.

In August US Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld drew parallels between the latter’s “lone voice” on Hitler in the 1930s and modern-day American warnings about Saddam Hussein.

Troy Dunn, vice-president of MyFamily, said the information about the genealogical link was brought to light by researchers preparing records for browsing by subscribers to the US site.

This week MyFamily.com is launching its UK site, called ancestry.co.uk, that will soon host online versions of the Victorian censuses drawn up between 1841 and 1891.

Anyone subscribing to the site will be able to search name records for their ancestors and then look at indexed pages of the census records to find out where their relatives lived, where they came from, their age and what they did for a living.

Mr Dunn said the census will be released county by county with Oxfordshire being first.

As the records are digitised, the names extracted and the pages indexed they will be added to the online database. Eventually the database will contain more than 200 million names.

“If you tried to do that some other way it would cost you so much in time, transport, buying the documents and getting access to them,” he said.

A subscription to ancestry.co.uk costs £29.95 per quarter or £69.95 per year.

High and low resolution versions of each census page are being prepared. The low resolution is for online browsing but the detailed version will be available for downloading and printing out.

State and staff

Included in the Victorian census are records for Buckingham Palace which list Queen Victoria and her consort Albert in attendance as well as numerous members of the Royal household.

The occupations of most people at the Palace are recorded and includes the Earl of Aboyne’s title of ‘Lord in Waiting’ and workers such as Joseph Martin ‘cabinet maker’.

By the names of the Queen, Prince Albert and the Princesses Royal there are no entries for occupation; instead a tick has been entered in the box.

The ancestry.co.uk website also holds other genealogical records as well as the growing collection of Victorian censuses. Also online are parish and probate records, civil registers for births, deaths and marriages as well as New York port arrival records.

Read between the lines people, neither of these warmongering  goofballs is a Christian. But they do a bang up job of leading Christians to war and making Christians out to be liars and blood thirsty tyrants.

Tony Blair had a “Jesus complex” which led him to believe his presence was essential at key moments on the world stage, one of his closest confidants has admitted. Jonathan Powell, the former PM’s chief of staff for 12 years, said Mr Blair displayed a missionary zeal when dealing with the Northern Ireland peace talks.

In his book Great Hatred, Little Room: Making Peace in Northern Ireland, Mr Powell recalls June 1998: “Tony told me he wanted to go over to Northern Ireland to sort the problem out. When I told Mo [Mowlam, then Secretary of State for Northern Ireland], she said it was part of his ‘Jesus complex’: a belief that his personal presence could resolve problems. I suspected she had a point but, nevertheless, after Cabinet on 2 July, we flew over.”

Labour MP Peter Kilfoyle said he agreed: “I don’t know whether I would use the phrase ‘Jesus complex’, but he certainly believed he could persuade anybody of anything.”

A spokesman for Mr Blair declined to comment.

President Bush announced Wednesday that he had accepted an invitation by President Vladimir V. Putin to visit Russia next week, signaling an effort to avoid a public clash over NATO and missile defenses when Mr. Bush travels to Europe next week.The meeting — expected to take place on April 5 and 6 in Sochi, a resort city on the Black Sea — is likely to be the last between them before Mr. Putin steps aside as president and is replaced by his protégé, Dmitri A. Medvedev.

Mr. Medvedev is also likely to attend the meetings for what would be his first substantive discussions with Mr. Bush.

Mr. Bush’s secretaries of state and defense, Condoleezza Rice and Robert M. Gates, went to Moscow this month after the president had sent a letter offering to formalize negotiations on a series of disputed issues.

Those included the administration’s plans to base parts of a missile defense system in Poland and the Czech Republic, which Russia opposes, as well as stalled efforts to resume negotiations on reductions and verification measures for the two countries’ strategic nuclear arsenals.

“I’m optimistic we can reach accord on very important matters,” Mr. Bush said in a meeting with foreign reporters, according to a transcript released by the White House. “I think a lot of people in Europe would have a deep sigh of relief if we’re able to reach an accord on missile defense. And hopefully we can.”

Despite increasingly anti-American remarks, Mr. Putin’s government has appeared open to Mr. Bush’s proposals. The exact details of those have not been made public, but officials have said that they are intended to win Russia’s acquiescence to missile defenses in Eastern Europe by promising transparency.

A delegation of senior Russian officials held still more talks here Wednesday in an effort to fashion agreements before Mr. Bush’s trip, which begins Monday.

The focus of Mr. Bush’s trip is a meeting of NATO’s leaders in Bucharest, Romania. Among the items on the agenda are the question of membership for three more countries — Albania, Croatia and Macedonia — and a more tentative “road map” toward membership for Ukraine and Georgia, both former republics of the Soviet Union.

Russia has expressed hostility to any movement by Ukraine and Georgia toward joining the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. While Mr. Bush has expressed support for both countries’ membership, other allies appear wary of offending the Russians. As a result, officials and diplomats have said, the NATO allies are expected to sidestep the issue.
