By now everyone reading this has surely seen the newly released and very bizarre video(s) of Osama Bin Laden sith his new dyed black bearded look. In the hours prior to the 6 year anniversary of 911, the mass media was abuzz about Bin Laden’s newly dyed black beard, but chose to ignore the fact that Osama Bin Laden looks to be wearing a Groucho Marx like rubber nose.

Why would Osama Bin Laden dye his beard black?

“By dyeing his hair and beard and wearing Arabic robes, bin Laden was trying to portray himself as a new, mature figure — the spiritual leader of al Qaeda, Atwan said.” -Reuters

If Bin Laden’s newly colored facial fuzz was an attempt at looking cool for national television then it was a dismal failure as the Bin Laden in this clip looked more like a muppet then an international terrorist.

But if this was purely done for vanities sake, the question must be asked, “Hasn’t Bin Laden read the Koran?”

Here is what the Koran says about dying one’s hair black.

“It was also reported from the Prophet (Peace & Blessings of Allah be upon Him) that one should change grey hair, using any colour except black. Abu Dharr reported that the Prophet (Peace & Blessings of Allah be upon Him) said: “The best things with which to change grey hair are henna and ‘katam’ (a plant similar to henna which is used as a dye).” (Reported by al-Tirmidhi, no. 1675; he said: This is a saheeh hasan hadith).

Dyeing hair with pure black dye is haram because the Prophet (Peace & Blessings of Allah be upon Him) said: “Avoid black,” and because of the threat of punishment reported with regard to this matter. This ruling applies to both men and women.

But if the black dye is mixed with another colour, so that it is no longer black, there is nothing wrong with it.” -Islam Questions and Answers

Strange is it not then, that Bin Laden would choose to dye his hair black?

Jihad Watch believe they have uncovered a loophole that would allow for Bin Laden’s black beard.

“The Shafi’i school of Islamic jurisprudence forbids men and women to dye their hair black “except when the intention is jihad…as a show of strength to unbelievers” (‘Umdat al-Salik e.4.4). OBL is not a member of the Shafi’i school… but this is not just a Shafi’i view: Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, in his internationally influential The Lawful and the Prohibited in Islam, says essentially the same thing.”

Though I respect a good deal of what Jihad Watch reports, I have to point out a couple of problems with their perspective on this topic.

First, would Bin Laden choose to adhere to the Koran, or Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi’s book? Most people would agree he’s a traditionalist and would side with the Koran.

Secondly, why is Bin Laden all of the sudden showing off his facial hair as a sign of jihad when he’s been at war with America since 911/01? We didn’t see a freshly dyed Bin Laden when he supposedly admitted to 911. Bin Laden’s jihad is nothing new, but his black beard is.

Big Lie is a propaganda technique in which the lie is so complex that the public will either dismiss it as impossible or choose not to believe it out of willful ignorance. It was defined by Adolf Hitler in his 1925 autobiography Mein Kampf as a lie so “colossal” that no one would believe that someone “could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously”. - Wikipedia

Simply put, grab a Bin Laden look a like, stick a ridiculous rubber nose on him, release a 30 minute video with 2 minutes of actual footage, showcase the Grecian Formula jet black beard and watch as people look beyond the obvious and focus on how stupid the nemesis of the free world looks.

The truth is, the possibility that this is not actually Osama Bin Laden and the overall validity of the tape and its audio is much greater than most people are willing to admit.

Neal Krawetz of Hactor Factor, an expert on digital image forensics notes,”At roughly a minute and a half into the video there is a splice; bin Laden shifts from looking at the camera to looking down in less than 1/25th of a second. At 13:13 there is a second, less obvious splice. In all, Krawetz says there are at least six splices in the video. Of these, there are only two live bin Laden segments, the rest of the video composed of still images… The new audio has no accompanying ‘live’ video and consists of multiple audio recordings.”

“References to current events are made only during the still frame sections and after splices within the audio track.” And there are so many splices that I cannot help but wonder if someone spliced words and phrases together. I also cannot rule out a vocal imitator during the frozen-frame audio. The only way to prove that the audio is really bin Laden is to see him talking in the video,” Krawetz says.”

Before you cower in fear of another Islamic led terror attack, ask yourself , “Why the black beard which is forbidden in the Koran? Why the edits in the tape? Why was there only 2 minutes of actual footage? Why not show Bin Laden reading his statement with its accompanying video in its entirety… unless of course, the audio was actually a voice impostor while the video was a look a-like.

What I see here is simple. Bin Laden is presented as an big corporation and anti-globalist enemy of the United States. As the SPP robs America of its sovereignty in the name of big corporation “free trade” and pushes the US into the grips of a globalized UN ruled one world government, those that stand in opposition are forced to publicly repeat Bin Laden’s terminology.

At some point this will be used as justification to shoot down those that claim globalization is wrong. It will be used to lump those that would stand against corporate greed in an attempt to preserve the US Constitution and Bill of Rights rather than handing over control to a multinational corporately “owned” United Nations into a subgroup of Bin Laden supporters.

This is frightening, not because Bin Laden threatened America in the tape, but because the real threat is that in the future, those that are anti-globalist, Christians who are anti-one world government stand to be deemed terrorists or Bin Laden sympathizers.

In the meantime, anyone that denounces globalization will be written off as a conspiracy kook or someone taking there ideals from Osama Black Beard Bin Laden.
