Joint Chiefs Ignore Reality Focus on Pride to Justify War With Iran
Since the garden of Eden, pride has been the downfall of mankind. It should come as very little shock that pride is being used to bring about the end of America as we know it. Pride led us to war in Iraq. Pride kept us, as a nation from asking why we continued to fight long after we found no weapons of mass destruction and heard the Bush administration publicly deny ever having ever linked Iraq or Saddam to 911 and al-Qaeda, which was a complete lie. But pride allows us to ignore those that deceive because we’re too proud to admit we could ever be fooled.
It is pride that keeps Americans from admitting they can ever be wrong about anything. From going to war to voting an opposition party into power that promises change yet pillages the national cookie jar just the same as their opposition.
Now it is pride that is leading America into war with Iran. Americans refuse to see their nation is being robbed blind by politicians that insist on more and more expansion of war for our own sake and safety. Meanwhile these political bandits are buying up stock and investing in the mercenary groups and the corporate war machine they award with massive no bid contracts.
The only change America has seen is in which political party has the leverage to control of the war profiteering.
Yet No AMERICAN SAYS ANYTHING! WE SHOULD ALL BE ASHAMED, OUTRAGED, and DISGUSTED… but again… NOT A PEEP!
Meanwhile, it is also this pride (mixed with ignorance, apathy, and a willing stupidity) that is being used to lead a clueless America into World War III.
Contrary to what our government and it’s minions known as talk radio and cable/network news tell you, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is not a dictator and or Adolph Hitler. He isn’t gassing anyone and hasn’t killed millions of people. While he does make ridiculous statements, Iran grows tired of him and YES, he’s up for re-election in 2009.
This makes Ahmadinejad the problem of the Iranians to be handled in a democratic way. Not the problem of America to be handled via shock an awe.
(America has been sold to us as a Christian nation, to which I implore you all… find justification for pre-emptive war in the Bible. Find me something in the Bible, some statement of Jesus Christ that justifies President Bush’s aggression and maybe then I’ll take a second to ponder if the man could possibly really consider himself to be the Christian that he’s convinced everyone else that he is… now back to Iran and it’s elections)
“This new situation may have serious implications for Mr Ahmadinejad’s re-election as president in 2009.
If the economy does not improve, leading to a further fall in Mr Ahmadinejad’s popularity, and international sanctions over Iran’s nuclear programme continue, the ruling clerics may decide to ultimately sacrifice him to preserve the Islamic system of government in Iran.”
Ahmadinejad is an elected official. It means that Iran already has a form of Democracy. It means that our government, which claims to obsess over spending every waking moment and squeezing every last drop out of American currency to bring Democracy to the Middle East, is willing to attack a democratic nation, which further means… well… we support Democracy so long as we, not the people, control it and who it brings to power.
Ahmadinejad is such a lame patsy that it takes about 3 seconds of research to find out that the next Adolph Hitler isn’t even the most powerful man in Iran. The next time you hear Sean Hannity, Michael Savage, or Bill o’Reilly refer to Ahmadinejad as the next Hitler, remember… either they know nothing about Iranian politics, or they’re outright lying to you.
“In Iran’s multi-layered and complicated political structure, the president is not the most powerful man. That status is reserved for the supreme leader, currently Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.”
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/7204590.stm
“Ayatollah Khamenei, (is) easily the most powerful man in the country (Iran) today, Khamenei has legal control of the army, the police, the intelligence agencies, the Revolutionary Guards and Basijis, the judiciary, and the country’s radio and television station.
So what now… we’re being told Iran is supplying weapons to insurgents in Iraq. These are people fighting America not because they hate our freedom, but because they want their own! Anyone that respects America’s founding fathers ought to rethink the situation in Iraq. Those the press calls al Qaeda are people fighting to get America off of their soil. I know you can’t possibly put yourself in their shoes, but try.
The real question with Iran is simple. At what point does America wake up and see the calculation and planning behind this march toward World War III? As the Bush administration screams about Iran and sells the public on the idea of attacking Iran, why don’t they make clear who is invested in Iran… who is backing Iran… and who, by default, America will be attacking should we take out Iran.

Now these are just the big nations involved and in bed with Iran. America realizes that our dollar is collapsing. We see food prices and oil prices soaring. We see food shortages and rationing beginning right here in the United States. Can we honestly expect to be able to afford to fight a global world war when we’re going broke in Iraq and Afghanistan?
The Iraq War and the required demand for borrowing cash from China to fund this war are bankrupting the corporate power of the United States. Those calling for a New World Order want the US brought to it’s knees to that a series of international unions headed by the UN can become the next geopolitical playing field.
I won’t even touch upon the plethora of Biblical prophecies that would have to be fulfilled should their wishes for a New World Order to emerge. But Americans, it is imperative for you to start seeing the world with fresh eyes.
At what point is it required of a nation and its leaders to admit they were wrong before destruction and judgment reigns down upon it and them and all of those that live there in?
Is it really worth it to attack Iran, risking war with China and Russia and Turkey, and India for the sake of controlling Iraq’s future? Do you honestly even believe America went to war with Iraq for valid reasons and now years and billions of dollars later we’re still occupying Babylon and threatening to go to war with ancient Persia?
Please people, wake up before it’s too late to understand what’s happening, not only in the world around you, but in the spiritual realms around you. The Bible warns us of all of this. It tells of this end times third world war scenario that will likely bring to fruition the revelation of the antichrist and his seven year peace treaty with Israel.
Pray about this. Research it. Ask God to reveal the truth to you about who is in control of the world and what direction in which it is going. Only once you have a better grasp on what the Bible says about these things can we truly understand who, what, how, and why the news paints such a simple picture of a situation that could and would very possibly lead to the end of the United States as we know it.
With all of that in mind, here’s an article where the Joint Chiefs of Staff are telling us… in so many words, prepare for war with Iran.
Ask yourself what the chances are that the Iranian government would really be foolish enough to stamp weapons “MADE IN IRAN” and with a “DATE OF CREATION” before smuggling them into Iraq. Actually look for primary source material as in… what they’ve actually found and what is simply a “belief”, a gut feeling, or just a piece of information tossed in there with no source for validation of the claim.
Top U.S. military officer assails Iran’s role in Iraq
The government of Iran continues to supply weapons and other support to extremists in Iraq, despite repeated promises to the contrary, and is increasingly complicit in the death of U.S. soldiers, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff said Friday in a stark new assessment of Iranian influence.”
The chairman, Admiral Michael Mullen, said he was “extremely concerned” about “the increasingly lethal and malign influence” by the government of Iran and the Quds Force of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, a special force that aids and encourages Islamic militants around the world. The Quds Forces in Iran were created during the Iran-Iraq war in the 1980s and report directly to the leadership of Iran’s theocratic government.
Pentagon concerns about Iranian influence in neighboring Iraq is nothing new, but the content and tone of Mullen’s remarks left the impression that far from abating, the worries about Iran have intensified in recent months.
“The Iranian government pledged to halt such activities some months ago,” Mullen said. “It’s plainly obvious they have not. Indeed, they seem to have gone the other way.”
The discovery of weapons caches in Iraq, with devices bearing stamps that indicate they were manufactured quite recently, run contrary to the Iranian promises not to interfere in Iraq, the admiral said. He conceded that he had “no smoking gun” to prove direct involvement by the very highest echelons in Tehran, but he said he found it hard to believe that all the top leaders were ignorant of recent developments.
The Pentagon is sufficiently concerned about Iran’s apparently deepening involvement in Iraq that it plans a briefing in the near future by General David Petraeus, the U.S. commander in Iraq, to publicize the caches of weapons, some of which are believed to have been used against U.S. troops in the recent fighting in Basra, in southern Iraq. Details of the weapons and the Pentagon’s concerns over them were disclosed Friday in The Wall Street Journal.
“I believe recent events, especially the Basra operation, have revealed just how much and just how far Iran is reaching into Iraq to foment instability,” Mullen said.
Of particular concern to U.S. military commanders are explosively formed penetrators, or EFPs, which the Pentagon says are being made in Iran and shipped to Shiite militants in Iraq, where they are used to deadly effect against U.S. forces trying to subdue extremist elements and bolster the government of Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki.
Asked whether the new evidence of Iranian mischief in Iraq portends an U.S. military conflict with Iran, the admiral said, “I’m not going to add anything to what I’ve already said in that regard.” For now, Mullen said, the best weapon against Iran is a combination of diplomatic and financial pressure by the United States and other nations alarmed by Iran’s attitude.
Pentagon leaders have said they would not rule out military action against Iran. But it is not uncommon for U.S. civilian and military leaders to leave “all options on the table,” in an often-used phrase, because to rule out military action in advance is seen as admitting a lack of resolve.
Mullen acknowledged that the U.S. military was being stretched thin by the operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. But, he said, “it would be a mistake to think that we are out of combat capability.” As for Iranian motives, Mullen said he believed the leadership in Tehran hopes for a weak Iraq, so that Iran can increase its influence in the region.
Moreover, deep resentment remains in Iran toward the United States, which until the Iranian revolution in 1979 long supported the repressive regime of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi as a bulwark against Soviet influence in the Cold War. The current Iranian president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, has shown little indication of wanting better relations with Washington. (Frank’s tongue in cheek notation: Which is, of course reason to justify killing him and thousands or hundreds of thousands of Iranian citizens)
Mullen said Iranian influence in Iraq goes beyond shipment of weapons. “They continue to train Iraqis in Iran to come back and fight Americans and the coalition,” he said. Reiterating earlier accusations, he asserted that Iranian leaders “continue to broadly support terrorists in other parts of the region,” including the militant groups Hezbollah and Hamas.
“And in fact, we’re seeing some evidence that they’re supporting the Taliban in Afghanistan,” Mullen said.
