Iran Missile Defense Shield Deployed to Syria
As America and Israel wait to attack Iran, it’s now becoming clear that the military industrial complex is hoping for along drawn out war. Had Iran’s nuclear capabilities been taken out years or even months ago, much of the opposition to an Israeli or American led airstrike on nuclear targets would have been avoided.
As I type this Iran is deploying missiles in Syria in preparation for military action if it is attacked over its nuclear program, U.N. officials in the region said.
Under a mutual defense pact signed between Damascus and Tehran in 2005, Syria agreed to the deployment of sophisticated weaponry on its territory.
The Iranians have “now” decided to implement the agreement following a meeting last month of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council.
Iran is transfering dozens of medium-range Shahab-3 and Russian-made Scud-C missiles, along with Scud-B missiles. These missiles can be fired from mobile launchers and are capable of hitting targets throughout Israel.
Iran has also sent missile engineers to to train the Syrian military and Hezbollah in preparation for the coming war.
