Archdiocese of Los Angeles Could Pay Sex Abuse Victims $650 Million
A court case in Los Angeles, CA involving 500 victims of sexual abuse by Roman Catholic clergy members is on the verge of being settled. The lawsuits against the Archdiocese of Los Angeles may involve a payout of as much as $650 million.
This could be the largest payout ever made by a single diocese since the clergy sexual abuse scandals became public knowledge back in the Boston cases of 2002. The Boston payout was $85 million paid for 552 claims against the Archdiocese of Boston.

It’s disgusting how these twisted people have destroyed the public perception of Christianity. Between abusive Catholic Clergy and George Bush’s warped perception of Christianity it is by God’s grace alone that anyone would ever convert to Christianity, though it was by His grace alone that anyone ever converted to Christianity anyway.
Those priests must have been VERY BUSY!!!
Kind of makes my stomach turn really!
When I was young, maybe 14, we used to head up to the local Catholic church and go to the rectory where the priest there would mix me and my friends drinks (usually vodka and OJ). Me and a friend always left and went (staggered) home before we got to loaded, but I always wondered about the last guy there who maybe got to drunk!
Not something I am proud of…but then again, at 14, I wasn’t to bright! Thank God, He was looking out for me!
